Reno Rodeo Denim Drive

	Initiated by the Reno Rodeo Foundation and the Reno Rodeo Association in 2006, the Reno Rodeo Denim Drive was a three-week drive to collect denim clothing and new cotton socks and underwear to benefit abused and neglected infants, children and teens who have been placed in protective custody and foster care in Washoe County.

Dozens of local businesses and individuals supported this program and we collected 1,017 pairs of jeans, 387 packages of underwear (approx. 2,322 pairs), 629 packages of socks (approx. 3,774 pairs), 14 denim jackets, 45 T-Shirts, and 73 outfits (most of which were for toddlers and infants) as well as nearly $7,000, 100% of which was used to purchase additional clothing.

The drive culminated on December 16, 2006, when the Rodeo chuck wagon made its way up the ole "Virginia-Kietzke" trail circling the wagons at several locations: Solari and Sturmer, LLC (Home of the Reno Rodeo Foundation), Atlantis Casino Spa Hotel, Bill Pearce Motors BMW Porsche Volvo, and Bill Pearce Courtesy Honda. Residents of northern Nevada were kept appraised of the travels of the chuck wagon thanks to CUB Country 94.5 and ALICE 96.5!
