The 2007 Denim Drive was a
tremendous success.
As of December 31,we collected:
1,327 pairs of jeans
865 packages of socks (~3,460 pairs)
469 packages of underwear (~1,876 pairs)
162 tops and jackets
418 items for infants and toddlers
We also have remaining cash, 100%
of which will be expended to purchase additional clothing by
April 30, 2008.

"Mass Purchase" Day at KOHL'S
Thanks to the generosity of Perry
DiLoreto, Teresa DiLoreto-Long and the entire DiLoreto Family,
AAA in memory of John Davies, Warren & Jale Trepp, the Washoe
County Sheriff's Office, Colonial Bank, Q&D Construction,
Buffalo Creek Vineyard, Silver State Barricade, the employees of
the Reno Gazette-Journal, we were able to conduct a "Mass
Purchase" day wherein Reno Rodeo Volunteers purchased thousands
of dollars worth of denim clothing, socks and underwear.
KOHL'S on Damonte Ranch Parkway welcomed us with open arms and
offered us tremendous discounts. KOHL'S also donated hundreds of
stuffed toys! Bill Mander's conducted his live radio show,
via the KOH News Talk 780 mobile command center, from the
parking lot. KOLO 8 News Now did their Midday weather
report live from the chuck wagon too!
