The Reno Rodeo Foundation, in
partnership with the Monroe-Schuler
Foundation, has developed a program
for aging-out foster youth called
the V.I.P.S. Life
and Career Coaching program. The
goal of the V.I.P.S. Program is to
provide foster youth between the
ages of 17 - 19 with life and career
coaching experiences that will help
them become productive,
financially-stable adults.
Between October 5, 2011 and March
21, 2012 program participants will
receive coaching in a variety of
different areas from
professionalism, to money
management, to interview skills.
Program participants will also have
the opportunity to learn about
different career opportunities.
Ten of the 2 hour sessions are
life/professional skills coaching
sessions and ten are guided learning
sessions held at businesses in Reno.
