The Reno
Rodeo Foundation Community Grants Program distributes funds into the
community by means of financial awards to deserving non-profit
service organizations.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation distributes over $100,000 annually to
local non-profit organizations.
The
Foundation's grant program is a core component of our organization's
contribution to the community. Non-profit service agencies that are
working to improve the quality of life for northern Nevada residents
are invited to apply for funds directly by submitting an application
per the guidelines below.

Luncheon
The Reno Rodeo Foundation offers two distinct grant
programs.
Qualified 501 (c) 3 organizations may now apply for either a
Community Grant or a Partnership Grant. Please carefully
review both grant programs before submitting an application.
RRF Community Grant Program
2009 Application
Deadlines: January 1, February 1, March 1, April 1, May 1
On average, the RRF provides grants to 30 organizations annually
Community Grant
Requests may not exceed $2,500 and are designed for
programs/projects that directly serve children and families, such as
camp scholarships, supplies, fixtures and equipment.
Applications are accepted January - May. Applications received by
the 1st of the month will be initially reviewed at that month’s
Board Meeting. Recommendations are made monthly, but grants are
awarded twice at the March and May meetings.
Applicants will
be informed of their grant award status as per this schedule:

If you
apply in January or February, you will be notified in March
·
If you
apply in March, April or May, you will be notified in May
·
Applications for community grants are not accepted June – December.
Priority is given
to organizations which significantly improve the quality of life for
children with special needs or circumstances residing in northern
Nevada.
Additional
priority is given to organizations with an operating budget that is
less than one million dollars.
General
operating requests, salary expense, academic scholarships and travel
expenses are typically not funded.

RRF
Partnership Grant Program
Application Deadline: October 1, 2008
Number of Grants Awarded: 2
The Reno Rodeo Foundation Partnership Grant Program is one of two
grant programs offered by the Reno Rodeo Foundation. Two partnership
grants are awarded each fall.
A total
partnership grant is $15,000.
$7,500 is granted
at the time the request is approved and the remaining $7,500 is held
as a matching grant for up to six months and is paid at the time a
matching grant is secured by the requesting organization.
Additionally, the requesting organization must agree to the
development of a relationship with the Reno Rodeo Foundation and
must adhere to specific accountability and reporting standards.
Partnership Grant
applications must be received by October 1st. Funds will be
distributed in November.
Requesting
organizations may apply annually for either a Community Grant
or a Partnership Grant, not both.
Priority is
