The Reno Rodeo Foundation Community Grants Program distributes funds into the community by means of financial awards to deserving non-profit service organizations. The Foundation’s grant program is a core component of our organization’s contribution to the community. Non-profit service agencies that are working to improve the quality of life for Northern Nevada residents are invited to apply for funds directly by submitting an application per the guidelines below.

Deadlines

PLEASE NOTE WE ARE ONLY OFFERING ONE GRANT CYCLE IN 2017.
Grant applications must be received by Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 5 P.M. to be eligible for consideration.

The Foundation will only consider complete applications and meet the Reno Rodeo Foundation Community Grants Guidelines.

All Applicants will be notified on or before April 28, 2017.

Reno Rodeo Foundation Community Grants Guidelines

  1. Requesting organizations may apply annually.
  2. Application must be complete with all supporting materials to be considered.
  3. Grant funding may not exceed $2,500 per applicant.
  4. Only one application per organization shall be considered.
  5. Organizations receiving grant funding must submit a report, with their current application request if funded in 2016, showing how the money was expended within the year of the grant funding to be considered as an applicant for the 2017 Reno Rodeo Foundation grant cycle.
  6. Grant funding must not support the organization’s general operating funding.
  7. Applicant must be a 501(c)3 or a registered non-profit in the State of Nevada.
  8. Applicant must be a registered non-profit in the State of Nevada in good standing with the Nevada Secretary of State Office.
  9. Applicant’s program must be aligned with Reno Rodeo Foundation mission, including but not limited to:
  10. Children with special needs or circumstances
  11. Related to rodeo or western heritage
  12. Related to animal husbandry and welfare or horsemanship
  13. Priority is given to the applicant with an operating budget less than a million dollars.
  14. Program recipients directly benefiting from the grant funding must reside in Northern Nevada.
  15. Program shall have a significant impact to the organization.

Please note: General operating requests, salary expense, academic scholarships and travel expenses will not be funded.
