Reno Rodeo Foundation
500 Ryland Street, Ste. 200
Reno, NV 89502

For 26 years, the Reno Rodeo Foundation has been making a difference to children and families in Northern Nevada.  Started as a private foundation in 1986 with the sole purpose of distributing the proceeds from the annual Reno Rodeo through scholarships and community grants, the Reno Rodeo Foundation is now a 501 (c) (3) public charity offering a much broader range of support to those in need in our community.

The Reno Rodeo Foundation . . .

  • Provided $50,000 in merit-based scholarships to students from rural Nevada to attend the University of Nevada, Reno for the Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 semesters.

  • Distributed over $100,000 to community organizations who offer direct services to children and families with extraordinary needs in our community.

  • Facilitated a highly-successful Denim Drive to provide new jeans, new socks and new underwear to children and teens who have been rescued from abusive homes.  The Reno Rodeo Denim Drive serves youth in 8 Northern Nevada counties.

  • Developed and launched a life and career coaching program for aging-out foster youth

  • Recognized a Rodeo Wish recipient

  • Partnered with the Reno Rodeo Association to develop and implement a new literacy program for first grade students in Washoe County - the Reno Rodeo Reading Roundup.

  • Participated in dozens of community events through our “Team 355” partnership with the Reno Rodeo Association.

The Reno Rodeo Foundation is the heart of the Reno Rodeo and we are always looking for new friends.  Whether you want to volunteer or offer support in other ways, we would love to have you join us as we reach out to those in need.

If you're interested in volunteering with the Foundation or with the Reno Rodeo, please complete and submit a Wrangler Application or contact us at info@renorodeofoundation.org to be added to our volunteer list.

We also hope you'll show your support by selecting the Rodeo State Charitable License Plate for your vehicle and by bringing your friends and family to the 2012 Reno Rodeo, June 14 – 23.

The Reno Rodeo is more than just 10 days of world-class entertainment in June, it is an event that provides behind-the-scenes support to thousands of children and families each year.

Thanks for visiting and we'll see you at the Rodeo!
