Rodeo State
License Plate Program
The
rodeo state plate
provides funds in support of the Nevada High School Rodeo Association and the
Reno Rodeo Foundation. This
special vehicle license plate is now available from the Nevada Department
of Motor Vehicles.
The DMV
registration fees from the sale of the plate support the programs
and charitable activities of the Reno Rodeo Foundation and the Nevada
High School Rodeo Association. The fee for this plate is $61, ($36
for the license plate fee and $25 to be divided equally between
the Reno Rodeo Foundation and the Nevada High School Rodeo Association).
The renewal fee is $30, ($10 for the license plate renewal and $20
for the support of the specified association).
Personalized license plates are also available. The first-time fee
for a Personalized Rodeo plate is $95.00* plus a $1.00 Prison Industry
Fee. The Renewal fee for a Personalized Rodeo license plate is $50.00**
in addition to all other registration fees and Governmental Services
Taxes.

"Nevada is truly the rodeo state and what a great way to recognize
that," said Dr. Greg "Lightning" Williams, a member of the Reno
Rodeo Association Executive Committee who came up with the idea
for the special plates. "The great thing is where the money is going."
