Rodeo Foundation Grants Programs
The Reno
Rodeo Foundation Community Grants Program distributes funds into the
community by means of financial awards to deserving non-profit
service organizations.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation distributes over $100,000 annually to
local non-profit organizations.
The
Foundation's grant program is a core component of our organization's
contribution to the community. Non-profit service agencies that are
working to improve the quality of life for northern Nevada residents
are invited to apply for funds directly by submitting an application
per the guidelines below.

The Reno Rodeo Foundation offers two distinct grant
programs.
Qualified 501 (c) 3 organizations may now apply for either a
Community Grant or a Partnership Grant. Please carefully
review both grant programs before submitting an application.
OPTION ONE:
RRF
Community Grants
Program
The Reno
Rodeo Foundation Community Grants Program distributes funds into the
community by means of financial awards to deserving non-profit
service organizations.
RRF Community Grant requests may not exceed $5,000 and are designed
for programs/projects that directly serve children and families,
camp scholarships, fixtures and equipment, and event sponsorships.
Applications are accepted September - May. Applications received
by the 1st of the month will be initially reviewed at that month’s
board meeting. Recommendations are made monthly, but grants are
awarded quarterly at the April, October, and January meetings.
Applicants will be informed of their grant award status following
the quarterly meetings, as per this schedule:

If you apply in January, February or March, you will be notified
in April

If you apply in April or May, you will be notified in July
-
If you apply in September, you will be notified in October
-
If you apply in October, November or December, you will be
notified in January

Applications are not accepted during June, July or August
Priority is given to
organizations which significantly improve the quality of life for
children with special needs or circumstances residing in northern
Nevada.
General operating requests, salary expense, scholarships and travel
expenses are typically not funded.
The Reno Rodeo Foundation does not review grant applications during
the months of June, July or August. The 2008-2009 grant
application will be posted in August. For review in September,
please submit by September 1.
OPTION TWO: RRF
Partnership Grant Program
The Reno
Rodeo Foundation Partnership Grant program is designed to meet the
financial needs of an organization seeking a sponsor or "partner"
for a specific project or program. The requesting
organization, by applying for this type of grant, is indicating an
interest in working with the Reno Rodeo Foundation to meet the needs
of children with extraordinary needs.
Each RRF
Partnership Grant is $15,000. Up to five RRF Partnership
Grants are awarded annually. At the time a grant is approved,
the requesting organization receives $7,500. The remaining
$7,500 is held as a matching challenge grant for up to six months
and is paid at the time a matching grant is secured by the
requesting organization. Additionally, the requesting
organization must agree to the development of a relationship with
the Reno Rodeo Foundation and must adhere to specific accountability
and reporting standards.
Partnership Grant applications must be received by September 1st or
March 1st and are paid in October and April respectively.
Priority is given to
organizations which significantly improve the quality of life for
